Masking protects the surface and helps give you crisp, clean lines. Tapes are rated by their stickiness. The higher the tack the more the tape will stick. Use high tack tape on uneven surfaces and low tack tape on delicate surfaces. Use narrow tape for small areas and corners and wide tape for larger surfaces. Combine with masking film to protect areas such as windows.
